As the lead UX designer on a large‑scale internal platform used daily by thousands of associates, I was responsible for reimagining a fragmented, high‑complexity workflow into a cohesive, intuitive, and future‑ready experience. The project required deep discovery, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to translate intricate operational needs into a design system that aligned both with business goals and real user outcomes.
 

Discovery & Research

I began by conducting an end‑to‑end discovery effort—running focus groups, interviewing frontline associates, and gathering qualitative and quantitative insights. These conversations exposed pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities that had gone unseen at the leadership level. I synthesized these findings into themes that guided the problem framing and established a shared vision with product, engineering, and business partners.
 

Design Approach

Working iteratively, I produced early concepts and high‑fidelity designs that simplified decision paths, clarified information hierarchy, and reduced cognitive load for users navigating complex workflows. I presented these concepts early to keep momentum high and ensure cross‑team alignment. Stakeholders consistently highlighted my designs as clean, polished, on‑brand, and grounded in strong UX rationale.
 

Collaboration & Influence

Throughout the project, I partnered closely with product owners, developers, and business leaders—translating requirements into actionable workflows and advocating for user‑first solutions. When decisions risked compromising the associate experience, I challenged assumptions and proposed thoughtful alternatives that moved the team toward better outcomes. My quick iteration cycles, responsive Figma updates, and open communication style helped maintain clarity and strong engagement across the project.
 

Impact

The final experience delivered a more intuitive, streamlined flow that aligned with user mental models and reduced friction for thousands of daily users. My work established a strong foundation for future enhancements and created alignment across multiple squads. Leaders described my contributions as pivotal—strengthening strategic clarity, elevating design quality, and positioning the initiative for long‑term success.
